MARK R. LAPIDUS,

Mr. Lapidus received his B.A. from The
University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and his J.D. from the
University of Houston in 1987. Mr. Lapidus graduated from
law school as a member of the Order of the Barons. He is a
member of the Texas and Houston Bar Associations. He is a
Houston Bar Foundation Fellow and is actively involved in
the Houston Bar Association. He is a former panel chair for one of the State Bar Grievance Committees and is a member of The Speaker’s Bureau, where he volunteers to give speeches and lectures to local schools and civic groups.
Mr. Lapidus practices in the areas of first- and third-party personal injury claims, products liability and tort, construction defect-related litigation, first party fraud, “bad faith” and other extra-contractual liability, long haul trucking and employment law. Mr. Lapidus has a particular expertise in handling cases involving both accidental and intentionally set fires. He has handled and currently handles many cases involving either a product alleged to have started a fire or an intentionally set fire started by or on behalf of an insured He has published written materials, lectured and given speeches to clients and various industry organizations on many of these issues
Mr. Lapidus is “AV” rated (the highest rating available by Martindale-Hubbell) and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He earned his certification in 1997 and was re-certified in 2002 and 2007.
